About Ingo Vogelmann

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In our childhood home's attic, my older brother sat by an open window, guitar in hand. His melodies filled the air, shaping my musical journey. This early memory is a cornerstone of my musical foundation, a vivid reminder of music's intimate power. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? BT, This Binary Universe Dire Straits, Brothers In Arms Remastered Ingo Vogelmann, God "Brothers in Arms" by Dire Straits captivates me with its storytelling and guitar mastery. "This Binary Universe" by BT is a genre-defying sonic journey. My own "GOD" encapsulates my musical vision. These albums are my musical pillars. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Harridan” The song "Harridan" by Porcupine Tree is a sonic experience that captivates me with its intricate layers and emotional depth. It complements my musical cornerstones, adding another dimension to my understanding of what music can be. A masterpiece. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Getting a phone call from Mark Knopfler to say he liked my remix of "If This Is Good-Bye" was a career-defining moment. A nod from a musical hero that validated my work. It's a milestone that not only humbled me but also fuels my drive to create. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? At 50+, I've still got my sights set on the "final big thing" – an album that surpasses the impact of "GOD." The creative fire still burns bright. This is the magnum opus that's yet to come, the ultimate expression of my musical journey.
