  1. Am I tone deaf, or do 3 numbers and 1 letter over sound good together. Example: 11B > 8A; 7A > 10B. You get the picture.

  2. The transitions you’re referring to (11B > 8A and 7A > 10B) are not considered traditionally harmonic in the context of the Camelot system because they don’t involve adjacent keys on the Camelot wheel.

    11B (F# Major) to 8A (A Minor): This transition is not traditionally harmonic because F# Major and A Minor are not closely related. They do not share many common tones, and the transition might be perceived as abrupt or unexpected.

    7A (G Minor) to 10B (B Major): This transition is also unconventional. G Minor and B Major are not directly related. Although both keys have three flats, their tonal centers are significantly different, which could lead to a less smooth transition.

    The perception of harmony can be subjective and depend on many factors, including the musical context, instrumentation, dynamics, and personal taste. If these transitions sound good in your sets or productions and achieve the desired effect, everything’s fine, even if they don’t follow traditional rules of harmonic mixing.

  4. Nevermind. VirtualDJ is poor at deciphering keys. I ran the tracks through MixedInKey and they are all the same key which is why they sounded so good.
