United Plugins has a great deal price on its Electrum Core plugin until then end of the year, which means that you can pick up a copy for only €9, instead of the regular €49. This bundle includes all the amps and cabs of the full Electrum suite, just without all the effects. However, you can upgrade to the full suite at any time.
United Plugins Electrum Core
Essentially, United Plugins Electrum Core is just the amps and cabinets section of the Electrum suite. If you just want the pure amps/cabs bundle, then you can currently buy a copy for a very reasonable €9 until the end of 2021. After this it will rise up to the standard price of €49.
The amps include the Electrum are Blue, Yellow, Orange, Red and Black. Each has its own tonal character, and you can combine it with any of the cabinets in the suite.
The Amps & Cabs
The mini suite contains 5 guitar amp simulations paired with 16 types of cabinet simulations which, United Plugin states on its site as being combined with 21 alterations, giving users over 300 models to play with. I made it 336 variations, which in the grand scheme of things, is pretty reasonable for €9.
It comes with internal 64-bit audio processing and, apparently, it can also handle any sampling rate, including 192 kHz and above. This is great and means that if your system can handle it, then you can push the quality as high as you like.
You also have the option to download a free 15 day trial, which means you can demo Electrum Core one in your favourite DAW, with an upgrade path to the full version, which includes effects. So you have some nice options, if you want to demo it, and potentially grow the suite at a later date.
United Plugins’ Electrum runs as VST, VST3, AU and AAX on macOS (10.10 or later) and Windows (8 and 10). A manual and a free demo version can be found on the manufacturer’s website.
