Master Tones Widener & Deepener: Save cash on two new analog-inspired enhancers

Master Tones Widener and DeepenerHailing from Taiwan, the hard-working people at Master Tones present a pair of plug-ins: Widener and Deepener. They are sold individually for USD 99 each, or paired in The Stage Package bundle. Normally, the latter costs USD 159, but the introductory price is USD 119. So that’s considerable savings on a pair of promising plug-ins that hide technological sophistication behind simple, intuitive interfaces.

Master Tones – The Stage Package

Both plug-ins are developed on the back of Master Tones’s Ariosa technology for AI-powered modeling. What can they do for you? In short, The Widener expands the stereo image without phasing artifacts and The Deepener alters the perceived depth of the center stage. Both plug-ins can effect the whole spectrum or only specific frequency ranges. Together, they comprise The Stage Package with a bundle price that’s fairly attractive at the moment (USD 119, down from USD 159). There are also 14-day trial versions of both plug-ins to try before buying.

Owing to the developer’s Ariosa AI tech, The Widener is said to widen the stereo image without phasing artefacts. There’s also the EQ feature that lets you target a specific frequency range. Additional features include Input and Output gain with reverse link, presets, and supported sample rates up to 96kHz.

Likewise, The Deepener lets you take the sound source to a desired distance from the center of the sound stage. The control and feature sets are the same as with The Widener – simple and clear. I haven’t tested the plug-ins myself, but if they can accomplish their stated goals while requirinh so little user input, then this is smart AI tech we’re talking about!

The Stage Package – Price and availability

The Stage Package bundle normally costs USD 159, but the introductory price is USD 119. It’s a bit of a steal, considering each plug-in is priced USD 99 individually. The Widener and The Deepener work under macOS 10.9 (or above) and Windows 10 in 64-bit VST3, AU, and AAX formats.
