Reflex Pro X: a delay powerhouse unlike anything we’ve seen!

Reflex Pro X delay plug-inSaid to be a decade in the making, Reflex Pro X is a very deep delay/multi-fx plug-in. A single glance at the specs reveals four stereo delay channels with three FX slots each (plus master FX), four delay modes, a 4×4 feedback matrix, 21 customizable effects, and ten modulation sources – among everything else on offer.

Each of the 4 delay lines has variations of input, effect, delay mode, feedback routing and individual slot settings. Forward, backward, grain and tap delay modes are provided for easy switching between stereo, ping-pong, and multi feedback delays. The Tap delay modes has individual Time, Level, and Pan controls for all 16 tap delay pairs. Two FX parameters can be modulated within each and a total of 64 tap delay patterns are possible.

Modulation is possible via a pair of envelope followers, 4 LFOs and 4 Trance Gate modules – assignable to most effects, slot, and delay parameters. One can chain and alter these sources for extensive interaction between the modulation signals. Same goes for the Feedback Matrix where delay outputs can be interconnected between the channels. Finally, there’s the Master section with delay time, feedback, modulation amount, a limiter/booster, send/insert modes, and other broad controls.

All in all, Reflex Pro X is a powerful delay engine capable of very intricate effects. To some it may be overkill, but it’s the good kind of overkill!

Price and availability

Reflex Pro X is available at an introductory price of EUR 69, down from EUR 89. The offer is good until August 21. A free demo is available where audio input is muted for a few seconds every minute and preset saving is disabled.
