Softube has just released its latest Amp Room software. The new modular system gives users the ability to create their own guitar and bass effects collection, allowing them create signature amp setups, using virtual guitar rigs. And with the optional Marshall Cabinet Collection, you also get access to some classic British guitar cabinets.
Softube Amp Room
The new Amp Room software collection from Softube is yet another virtual guitar rig that you can add to your arsenal. It uses a set of virtual mix and mastering effects including equalisers, compressors, tape, etc., that you can use in your virtual amp room. You also get an American Class A channel strip, as well as a Tube-Tech CL 1B compressor.
The software comes as standard with six amps, sixteen cabinets, ten effect pedals, three studio effects, and eight utility modules. And for those unsure of how to build their own personal amp room from scratch, there are over 260 presets that they can choose from, or that can be used as ideas to springboard off from.
Marshall Cabinet Collection
The optional Marshall Cabinet Collection adds eight officially licensed Marshall cabs to the rig. Each cab comes with six microphone settings and six ready-to-mix microphone combinations. I think this is a welcome little add-on, as many players are familiar with these cabs. And, well, who hasn’t heard of Marshall?
There is also talk of more add-ons in the future from other brands, which means we should be seeing more well known expansions to the amp room, pretty soon.
Prices, introductory offers, and dates
Currently, Softube Amp Room is available on the manufacturer’s website at an introductory price of 99 euros. The offer is valid until 9 July, after which it will go up to 149 euros.
